After years of having my heart shattered through trauma, abuse and emotional valleys, I wrestled with the question, “how can I have Jesus and so much pain?!”

I knew I was called since birth but my life and emotions did not line up with the abundant life I was purposed to live. I hoped Jesus would heal me with an over night miracle but what I didn’t know is that years of sin and abuse don’t just go away over night. This type of hurt creates pathways in your mind and emotional memories that embed in who you are.

When I started my healing journey I had multiple encounters with God. He showed me past events where I experienced hurt or disappointment and as a result developed unhealthy behavior and harmful thought patterns. These dark emotions and disruptive thoughts were stuck in my soul until I was able to fully encounter them in a new perspective. Holy Spirit revealed the lies I was believing and His truth that eradicated them. In a simple yet profound exchange I was able to break the chains and walk free.

The freedom I had longed for was finally here! Taking the deepest breath in years, I couldn’t stop laughing. I now had the tools, confidence, authority and right perspective of Christ and myself to walk in the abundant life He always had for me.
